Fort De Soto park is always named one of the top ten beaches in the country. And my kids would agree! There is always so much to do here we seem to find a best new spot every time we go.My nine year old’s favorite place in park is climbing around the fort and pretending to defend the park with the cannons. My six year old loves to run down the fishing pier and see what everyone has caught.I have a hard time coming up with one favorite place because I love so much here.Renting bikes is a great afternoon peddling up and down the paved paths that run though out the park is one of my top five. You can rent a canoe and explore the mangroves lined 2 miles of canoe trails where you a bound to see something new every time.Over 1,110 acres are your to explore
Open 7am to dark.Bring a picnic lunch and stay the whole day.
Located at the end of Tierra Verde. Admission to the park is free but there is a toll on the road right befor you enter the park.
