What you'll do there:

Walk through a WWI trench and get a feel for what it was like to be in the middle of the action.  The Armed Forces Military Museum has a large collection of military related items.  When you first walk in you'll see uniforms that were worn all different branches of the military.   A large section of the museum is dedicated to a WWII displays.  The rooms are scene recreations of parts of different battles of the war.  In the back is a virtual motion simulator.

How long should I plan to spend here:

1.5 to 2 hours should be plenty of time to see the whole museum

What else is nearby:

Tampa Bay Grand Prix

What ages are best?

Anyone with a interest in the military.  For kids I would say 5 and above.

My son did comment that he would like to see some hands on exhibits.
